White jackets were worn by officers, warrant officers, officer candidates (including cadets() and senior NCOs with the tropical dress and otherwise with some forms of dress and at certain occasions. There were two models. distinguished by a stand-up collar of the old style, and by an open lay-down collar of the new style. With the exception of the collar (and lapels of the new style), both models were identical in design.
